KaraYam feat. Sveta Kundish

KaraYam feat. Sveta Kundish is a musical project that combines Greek, Turkish, and Jewish folk songs from the Black Sea region and beyond. The ensemble was founded in 2022 as a mostly instrumental project, exploring the shared repertoires of cultures surrounding the Black Sea. This year KaraYam dives deeper into the region’s vocal repertoire, joining forces with Hazzan Svetlana Kundish to create a rich tapestry of genres and languages - songs in Greek, Turkish, Ladino, Yiddish and Hebrew tell stories of love, loss, and longing.
