Jacobus Thiele (D; percussion)

German percussionist and drummer Jacobus Thiele specialized in Middle Eastern music for his Bachelor's degree at the Codarts University in Rotterdam. He plays in various styles ranging from Jazz and Pop, Classical Ottoman, Theater and World Music.

His recent projects include the groups KaraYam, Jiraan, Dareyn Trio, Amazonon and the Göksel Yilmaz Ensemble.
In 2023 he is appearing on various album releasesl, including “Erato” by Michiel van der Meulen, “Into Eternity” by Marion von Tilzer and the album “Sirto” by the Belgian group Jiraan founded by the Syrian violinist and composer Shalan Alhamwy.
